Ned Costa
Jr Vice - Army
Ned Costa served in the United States Army in Vietnam from 1968 to 1969. He was assigned
to the 173d Airborne Brigade, Casper Platoon – Helicopters, as a crew chief & door gunner
stationed at Bong Son, LZ English in the Central Highlands, Vietnam. Ned was awarded the
Purple Heart, Bronze Star, Army Commendation, and several Air Medals among other honors.
He current serves as VFW Mission Viejo Post 6024 Buddy Poppy Chairman.
National Appointments - 2024-2025 National Aide-de-Camp to the National Veterans of Foreign
Wars Commander in Chief.
